    Default Acer Aspire 5951G-2414G 15.6 "GT 555m

The new Acer Aspire 5951G-2414G75Bn Ethos is a versatile notebook that combines 15.6-inch performance and autonomy. It can indeed take 7 hours of battery depending on the brand platform and runs on Intel Huron River with a Core i5 Sandy Bridge, a Nvidia DirectX 11 technology coupled with Optimus, a Blu-Ray , USB 3.0 and good storage space.

The connection should satisfy the vast majority of potential users. Of course, essential as HDMI, VGA, Wi-Fi n and USB ports are present but there are also Bluetooth 3.0 + HS, a Firewire port, a port combo USB / e-SATA and a USB 3.0 so file transfers are made up to 10 times faster than USB 2.0 devices with USB 3.0.

Announced its independence from 7 am is also well appreciated for a laptop of this type which accuses still a particularly high weight for a 15.6 inch.In any case if Acer announced such autonomy is largely due to this technology Nvidia Optimus. By default, it ensures that the laptop runs on the graphics Intel GMA 3000 HD integrated into Sandy Bridge processor because it consumes little energy and therefore leads to greater autonomy. However, if Optimus judge at one point graphics performance offered by the Intel GMA 3000 HD is insufficient to meet the tasks performed by the user, it requests automatically and in real time the dedicated card Geforce GT 555m.

If the Intel GMA 3000 HD as well as the Geforce GT 555m enables smooth playback of HD video, the dedicated graphics card is far more efficient. It is put to use for example if a game is launched. It can indeed handle properly a number of games including recent titles and resource intensive 3D as long as they are adapted levels of detail, see the screen resolution.
