You have installed Vista SP1?

None of the question for all and it wont load at all loads up windows before appearing in the error message and prompts me to continue trying to repair the light through the disk, but that doesn't work.

Yes, a reinstall is in order. Really a painless process if you have backup of your documents. One thing I like about Vista is the fact that the drivers load is a thing of the past that if they have not built in, is it automatically. Just reinstall and should be good to go.
