If you have a floppy drive on the PC you're using now can copy the exe file to this computer and exicute ... try to create a boot floppy image.
You do not need to hold the button down all the time ... in fact; I can not even begin until you release the power button.
I removed the USB drive before turning the power also went into safe mode to make sure everything was good, but it worked.
Anyway I did not mean to hijack this thread, but I think it could become a common problem for anyone who needs to use this to recover their lives.
For some reason my touchpad doesn't work when I start Windows normally. When running in safe mode but I am... That is the strange thing.
Check the readme.txt - DOS flash: Please unzip the right under the windows and how to boot the system restarts to pure DOS mode. Then click "IF50.bat" batch file to update the BIOS in pure DOS mode.
By holding FN + ESC and battery with AC removed, and then applying power while holding down buttons, the Governing Council is a special FLASHMODE simply copy a file from the USB port IMAGE.FD INSYDE in the BIOS ... (a relatively new type of BIOS recovery method and new).
It is an ingenious method of recovery. I will save my time with this trick.
Thanks a lot!
After a bit more research and testing I think the file in the THUMBDRIVE is simply the image file in the DOS flash download ... it could replace the current DOS IC50142.FD FLASH download, place the file on a USB thumb drive WHITE ... and then follow the instructions above to flash the BIOS to the current version instead of the old version 1.11...
