Use of a small capacity thumb drive if possible, may require large thumb drives formatted FAT32 properly (and not always require FAT32 disk so that it could cause the recovery)

If you have a floppy drive on the PC you're using now can copy the exe file to this computer and exicute ... try to create a boot floppy image.

I removed the USB drive before turning the power also went into safe mode to make sure everything was good, but it worked.

After a bit more research and testing I think the file in the THUMBDRIVE is simply the image file in the DOS flash download ... it could replace the current DOS IC50142.FD FLASH download, place the file on a USB thumb drive WHITE ... and then follow the instructions above to flash the BIOS to the current version instead of the old version 1.11...
