Acer 1100 is most recent Ferrari-themed laptop from Acer and I have to say that it strikes all the right gears from a model position. While it avoids the famous scarlet Ferrari colour scheme for a more passive black finish with gunmetal silver trimmings, there’s no mistaking the iconic strutting horse logo that is displayed resolutely in the middle of the lid. The Ferrari 1100 is covered in a carbon fibre body with a racing check design on the lid which is also extensive to the touchpad.
In keeping with its race car theme, the mouse buttons are intended to seem akin to foot pedals and the laptop has sporty angular lines and contours, which dare I say creates it one of the best constructed automobile-themed laptops around.
To its credit, Acer has confirmed the 1100 is not only about stamping a Ferrari logo on a snazzy appearing laptop. The company has completed well to fit the 1100 with some of the best mechanism you can presently find.
Computing muscle is offered by an AMD Turion 64 X2 dual-core processor operating on 2.3GHz. I would have individually favorite an Intel Centrino platform but Acer has no option here as AMD is a co- sponsor of the Scuderia Ferrari team. The laptop does fine to appear with a series of solid components like wireless draft-n networking, fingerprint sensor, slot DVD burner and a 250GB HDD.
