The Air's in a different league. Even its fattest edge is thinner than its nearest rivals' narrowest bits. With no optical drive, removable battery or ethernet, and only a single, lonely USB port, it's fair to say a few concessions have been made to get it down to size zero, but it looks absolutely amazing, and performs at speed, thanks to a 1.6Ghz Core 2 Duo and n-grade WiFi.



The 80GB is the same slow-poke variant which is used in the iPod Classic. The full-size, backlit keyboard is like zipping your fingers across silk, while the LED-lit screen
twinkles like the Northern Lights and the iPhone style, gesture-sensitive trackpad gives complete control. But what's that coming over the hill. Is it a nagging price-tag. Yes it is, and it's brought its partner-in-crime, diabolical battery life, with it. As a result, only the style-obsessed will truly love Apple's miniature miracle. We're first in the queue.
