Currently there are only a few viruses targeting Apple Mac OS X and the possibility of being affected by one of them is very small. No need to purchase antivirus software for Apple Mac OS X. Using the OS X built-in firewall and conduct regular system upgrades will remain safe.

Make sure you are getting what you paid for! In the menu bar, click the Apple icon and select "About this Mac". Check your processor, RAM and hard drive specifications to ensure your notebook is what you originally ordered. This does not mean Apple deliberately sends the wrong product to their customers, but mistakes can happen and it does not hurt to be extra careful.

Many switches have admired Apple Mac OS X for years, but they know they can not completely get away from Windows because of work restrictions or Windows-only software. Now that there are convenient and widely available, how to run Windows on a Mac, more and more customers are switching, or at least consider switching to Mac.

In fact, there are fewer viruses for Apple Mac PC ... but most of the unpleasant and there are more Mac users are unaware due to the feeling of invulnerability people follow them.

Unlike the PC, the old mac viruses tend to Apple Mac users because users do not have any protection installed. We only had to clean up not one but two Macs last week, while incredulously claimed that users "can not be a virus, Macs are not virus!"

I am sure that if you work for a large company and its main task is to repair computers, is still the rarest of cases. But it is clear that the chances of your Mac infected by some adware or Trojan are significantly less than their Windows box.

The only time antivirus and anti-malware is probably not necessary if the computer in question has no network connection, do not use the removable storage and does not connect to the Internet at all.
