Honda Fireblade It's raining superbikes. Last month we announced the advent of the mighty Hayabusa and Gixxer 1000 from Suzuki. Now the iconic Honda Fireblade is set to hit Indian roads. Honda Motorcycles and Scooters India Ltd (HMSI) has confirmed launch of its flagship sports bikes. The company plans to introduce two models by the end of the current fiscal year, in the 800cc+ category. The Honda CBRI000RR Fireblade will be the torchbearer.
Though Honda has not finalised the second launch, it could be the VFR800, if the 781cc bike can beat the 800cc barrier. Another strong contender is the Honda Goldwing. Speaking on the delay in launching the superbikes in the domestic market, Honda officials commented that they want to launch the bikes with strong sales and service back-up. Honda also wants to offer riding courses to customŽers of such bikes, hence the delay.
