I finally cracked the low fuel efficiency mystery puzzling. A much needed service was of course overdue, but a change in rid style was needed to make a difence to the long term Flame. The most critical aspect at the moment fuel efficiency has certainly come up to around 58kmpl in the city, owing to a more careful wringing of the throttle compared to my earlier rev-happy riding that had killed fuel efficiency. Moreover, the servicing has definitely helped in making her smoother, which is a boon in overtaking as the vibes towards the top are minimised.
Also, I really wish the rear tyre would hold on to wet tarmac better, leaving a lot to be expected in terms of grip in the wet. The Flame makes for a good companion if you want to potter around town, as the footpeg-seat-handlebar combo is perfect. The looker that it is, the Flame ups the feelgood attracting some attention and inquiries.

The smart styling certainly makes it stand out and the tank shrouds with integrated blinkers are gorgeous. The pillion seat could have been a bit wider though, as a bigger pillion like colleague Martin makes it cramped. The vibrations from the engine can be felt at high revs. Braking is the Flame's forte, both brakes being excellent, having proven their worth many a time. Handling too is spot on and never lets you down. The headlight beam could have better focus and intensity.
