The 10 Day Celebrations of Ganesh Chaturthi mark the beginning of the festival season. For the people of Maharashtra, it is a big festival where the Elephant God, Lord Ganesha, is worshipped. During this propitious time, the majority of Mumbai's population comes out on the streets to visit all the manŽdais. I also decided to visit some of the prominent Ganesh mandals in Mumbai, and took my Aviator for a long ride around the city, Most mandals are situated in narrow, winding lanes and congested streets. With the Aviator's compact size and easy riding nature, it was possible for me to squeeze in through the slow moving crowds. Parking the Aviator was also never a problem, for it occupies only a small space.
