The Bajaj Chetak was an accepted Indian prepared motor scooter formed by the Bajaj Auto Corporation. The Chetak is named after Chetak, the renowned horse of Indian warrior Rana Pratap Singh.
Formerly derived from the Italian Vespa, the Chetak was the only option for millions of Indian families as a reasonable way of transport for decades. Around 1980, the Italian-licensed plan was restored with an all new in-house design that shared the similar common look and style.
