    Bajaj introduced another improve of the Pulsar. The bike was obtainable with 17 inch alloy wheels as normal alternative and the posture was also lowered by about 12 mm. It was the foremost time any bike maker in India had obtainable 17 inch profile wheels at the rear. The fuel tank now had a capability of only 15 litres. The power output was now further augmented to 13.5 bhp @ 8500 rpm. The back shock absorbers were now gas-filled Nitrox absorbers.
