TVS Scooty Streak Hybrid In the endeavour to promote eco-friendly technologies, TVS also displayed a hybrid version of their scooter - the Streak, powered by a 4-stroke petrol engine and has an electric hub motor. Four rider-selectable drive modes allow full electric, all-petrol or power/economy dual power riding. The Streak Hybrid is also equipped with regenerative braking and a start-stop function. We rode the prototypes and came away impressed. TVS begins market studies in May and will get the Hybrid production ready by 2011. There's no word on actual sale plans - that depends how the government supports green initiatives.
