Finally, Yamaha launched the cross-plane crankshaft-ed R1 in India with the 2010 model, days before the Auto Expo. The uneven firing order comes from the M1 and ride reports from all over the world say this R1 is a monster. It has proved repeatedly that it may not have the most power or torque in its class, but it is the definitive motorcycle in the class. The one that eventually turns out to be the fastest and easiest to ride. The new R1 also has a host of other features such as an all-new frame, a drive-selector switch on the handlebar, letting the rider select the amount of power going to the rear wheel to name a few.
