After letting Kawasaki's Z750 the Aprilia Shiver and the Triumph Street Triple 675 rule the 750CC space for a considerable time. Yamaha is once again back in the game with the new FZ8-N naked street bike. The 799CC engine is a scaled down version of the fuel-injected 1000CC engine serving its elder sibling the FZr. The FZ8 motor pumps out 105 horses and 8zNm of torque. Although it’s a smaller engine the overall external dimensions of the motor remain the same as a result of which the FZ8 gets the high-spec components like the frame as well as the swing arm from the FZr.
The Yamaha FZ8 covers up over the FZ6's lousy power delivery, which needed the riders to give it some stick before the FZ6 moved. The FZ8 makes torque much lower down the rev¬range which will help in giving it much better ride ability and also improve its fun-factor over the smaller FZ6. Similarly to the FZI series the FZ8 is also available in a naked FZ8-N version as well as a quarter-faired Fazer8 version.
