Unlike last year 2010 seems to be a year of commuter bikes. So far the updated Bajaj Platina 125 and Honda CB Twister are the only new launches after stirring up the performance bike segment with the FZ-16 and R15. Yamaha is back in the commuter arena where the volume game has gotten more intense. The new bike named YBR 110 comes across as a restickered and rechristened Alba.
The only visible difference is the new decals black finished exhaust and a utilitarian looking grabrail. The powertrain remains the same and the bike sports a 106cc engine that produces 7.6PS of power at 7500rpm and 7.85Nm at 6000rpm. The engine has already proved its refinement and in-city rideability on the Crux and Alba. The YBR 110 will feature electric start and alloy wheels as standard
