Real race car homologated road, the 911 GT3 RS comes even closer competition from its counterpart, the fabulous RSR. In bringing its displacement from 3.8 L to 4.0 L and adopting the crankshaft, connecting rods and pistons of the latter, the good old flat-six of the GT3 RS now develops 500 hp and 460 Nm of torque (+ 30 Nm).
With an output of 125 hp / L, it becomes at the same time the most powerful naturally aspirated engine ever produced by Porsche. Associated with a 6-speed manual transmission (standard floor circuit), it allows the GT3 RS a 0 to 100 km / h in 3''9 and a top speed of 310 km / h. Even more telling, his time on the Nürburgring Nordschleife: 7 minutes and 27 seconds!
Always lighter (1360 kg), 4.0 GT3 RS offered seats, fenders and a carbon hood and the rear windows in the composite, which fell below 3.0 kg / hp (2, 72 kg / hp). Finally, besides its huge wing inherited the race, the 911 GT3 RS 4.0 is recognizable by its small spoilers on both sides of the front bumper, another innovation from the competition and a first on a production car.
Limited to only 600 copies, this extreme Porsche 911 goes on sale in the summer from 180 514 EUR. For information, this represents about 28 000 EUR even more than a "classical" GT3 RS.
