Until the launch of its electric sedan Ampera, Opel is continuing its program to decrease emissions and fuel consumption thanks to the ecoFLEX series.

Indeed, with the 1.7 CDTI engine developing 130 hp and 300 Nm of torque, the new Astra ecoFLEX Insignia ecoFLEX is inserted between the 160 hp (4.9 L/100 km - 129 g / km) and the Corsa ecoFLEX 95 ch (3.5 L/100 km - 94 g / km). To carry the ecoFLEX badge, the Astra has undergone many changes as a more careful aerodynamics, tires riding low rolling resistance and the adoption of a 6-speed manual transmission on the floor reworked. His CDTI diesel engine is not left with a job at the injection, turbo and thermal management and finally the presence of the Start & Stop and regenerative braking. All this allows the Astra ecoFLEX to establish itself as one of the cleanest cars in its class with only 3.7 L/100 km combined cycle and 99 g / km.
