Thread: Volkswagen B4 engine goes from simple

Have a new problem with my car:

And the engine goes right after the start again. That doesnot always happen, but if so, then several times in a row. SometimesI need 5-6 attempts to start until it stays on time and workproperly.

What could that be?

My workshop was also not sure.Mech said of what the control unit is defective, replace or completeImmobiliser.

Was that the only error saved?The immobilizer says so, everything OK? Or are there still errors?

To give you the faulty component can, I would need this information.

It was only a "Hall sender G40 no signal" saved. According to the mechanic is normal because the engine is not running when read.

Immobilizer was no error message.

Then seems to be everything to the immobilizer IO.Remains only the connection between WFS and motor-STG STG. There somewhere is a wobble / cable break.

I'm going for the connectors on the WFS-STG. Drawing from the times, contact spray (grease) on it and put back together. Usually that's enough. Could be a defective solder joint in the WFS-STG, which also happens often.
