Thread: Golf IV: heater

Hello,

I have a Webastoheater in my IVer TDI and recently the works included: airventilation only when I turn on the heater.

Does anyone know the problem?

The control of the heater on in the operation of a relay time plus the fan switch (which still seems to be working).

If the heater is off, the fan should be powered with normal ignition positive (changeover relay in the lead). This ignition Plus is probably no longer with you.

Prime suspect:
Blower fuse (fuse number and strength see log)
Defective changeover relay (contact ignition Plus burnt?)
Broken cable between the fuse and relay box.

The problem was ultimately quite simple. Since the relay and the connector board are quite unprotected installed in the engine compartment,it has come here to contact problems.

Some contact spray and the whole thing was running again. Only the male is slightly charred, never mind.
