The new version of the coaches shouldkeep the size and remain true to the lines of the old version thathad replaced the DB7 in 2004, but the silhouette is enhanced by freshand dynamic lines. This continuity also has economic reasons (thesame ones that have postponed the launch of the redesign), the DB9is, in fact, produced on the current VH, also used for the AstonMartin Vantage.
Moreover, as it soon becomes clear thisnew prototype is the right mix and range of the DB9 and DBS is thepath chosen by the Anglo-Saxon brand to better express their own DNA. Aston Martin also plans for future models to use new lightweightaluminum materials that will reduce the weight of the DB9 to 10% from1760 kg to 1500 kg.
