Default Jeep Grand Cherokee stalling set

Short adventure long: I accept a 96 Grand Cherokee 4.0L, 125,000 miles. Various weeks before, I began to accept blockage consequences. Hot or cold, dry or wet, aboriginal drive of the day or last, it did not matter. The agent would cut out. It acquainted like it absent all electrical. My turn. Being the methodical aircraft artisan that I am, I affective a multi-meter, acquaintance cleaner, and base diagrams. I bankrupt connectors, homed out affairs and sensors, arrested for ability and grounds. Everything arrested good. By now, its assuming ASD, crank sensor, and primary agitation codes. At the time it was assuming an ASD broadcast code. Swapped the ASD and A/C relays. Same problem.

I did not accept time to attending at it, so I had the banker go through it. After 2 years, they alleged and said it was the ASD relay, and that they put in a new one, and its all good. Um, ok, maybe I absent something. I am a dupe soul, but lets see if this fixes it. The abutting day the botheration was back. I went aback to the banker and they basically said, We do not perceived what it could be, acceptable luck with that. Now my wife knows why I do not go to the dealer. By the way, the old broadcast activated good. As a ancillary note, if you demand to see a account managers eyes pop out of his head, acquaint him that you demand your money aback because your not activity to pay them to trouble-shoot a architecture defect. Its a august sight.

My Jeep is bare for a account appropriate now, but it is accessible to find. It is amid in the agent alcove on the commuter ancillary of the firewall, aft of the coolant reservoir. You will accept to abolish the reservoir. The PCM is a aboveboard metal box army angular to the firewall with three bolts. On the front, you will acquisition three ample ellipsoidal connectors, one black, one white, one gray.

Beneath the two alien connectors, you will acquisition the two screws. You do not charge to abolish the connectors. The screws use a #25 Torx bit for removal. Aback the screws out about 1/4" and see if that makes a difference. If you accept the aforementioned botheration I did, install two new 1/4 or 3/8 #6 area metal screws and your acceptable to go. If not, appear aback with abundant advice and I'll try to help. Acceptable luck, and let me apperceive what happens.

The three bolts you acknowledgment defended the PCM to the firewall. The two screws are beneath the connectors, one beneath the gray, and one beneath the black. The active face advanced against the battery. You should be able to feel them if you can not see them. If you still cannot locate them, abolish the connectors and you can't absence them. When removing or inserting the connectors, bethink to abstract the array ground. Also, there are locking tabs on the top and basal of the
