Default Purchasing your own crash harmed car back from insurance company

Some of you might have looked my other thread where i was crashed into through an elderly woman on my nearside and then rammed into a lampost harming the offside.

I spoke to the insurance and they told to call back this week arriving with regards to whats occurring, I have asked if i could purchase it back and they told me it depends on what the assessor says?

Only wondering truly if someones ever purchased there owned car back accident harmed? How much should i look to pay ? Will i have to pay fees to have it assumed back to my home, and any storage fees? It was a 52 reg 2002 seat leon cupra, evidently it cannot go back on the road needed it back for the engine truly as my friend requires one, and some other bits on it worth selling, bumpers etc.

A bloke at job had his 53 plate focus written off. They extended him insurance for the car and he purchased it back. Do not familiar if purchase back costs are dissimilar to vehicles but that is what he paid! Hope that assists a bit.

It is simpler for insurers to leave you with the car, currently 3 i familiar of were buybacks, i.e scrap value. If they deem the car to be cat b or c it will be so affordable normally. Cat D and X will be more commonly. Now climate means fighting is high though.
