BENTLEY HAS BEEN present in the country for over 4 years now through import dealer Exclusive Motors keeping the lucky few customers happy with their Continental GT and the Arnage. Impressed with the way things are shaping up, Bentley has gone ahead and launched two new models for the Indian subcontinent, which are the Bentley Azure and the Continental GTe. Presiding over the event, Ian Gorsuch, Regional Director, Bentley Middle East Africa and India said, "The Bentley India market has exceeded our expectations.

Over the last four years, the Indian customer has shown a great interest in our brand. This is not new, as Bentley has been catering to the days of the Maharajas, but today's elite Indian is demanding and if they can afford their Bentley in London or Monaco, they want one here as well. That is a trend we have seen." Satya Bagla, Managing Director, Exclusive Motors added, "The Bentley marquee has a strong following amongst India's affluent society. This year we have ordered 30 Bentleys for sale in India, and I am sure that I will not be disappointed."

The Azure design is inspired by the I9SS Park Ward SI Drophead Coupe and the original Azure of I99S. Based on the Arnage platform, it shares the same face as well as the twin turbocharged 6.7s-litre V8 engine the churns out 4sobhp and a very healthy 87SNM of torque.

The Continental GTC is built along the lines of a luxo sport convertible, and simply put is topless version of the Continental GT. Powered by a 6.0-litre turbocharged 12-cylinder engine, the GTC is capable of 160 km/h in 4.8 sec. The car tops out at 31Skm/h and you get 6soNm of torque at about 1600 rpm, making this one mean machine disguised in a tuxedo. The Azure is priced at Rs. 3.80 crore (ex-showroom) and the GTC will sell for just Rs 2.10 crore. Small money when it comes to image.
