Have you seen Mrs Sharma house after she got it all redone. "I also got myoid TV exchanged for the new Plasma. "Dude I have to get myself the new PDA phone. It rocks "I need to change myoid PC for a new laptop. Everyone's moving up and upgrading these days, as they want to be in tune with the latest trends and styles. And now BMW have a lot more to offer them with the upgrades on their new 5 Series.

The BMW 5 Series is a very competent saloon known for its driving dynamics, and now it's become even more desirable with BMW having introduced two new power units. For the entry level 520d model they have a four-cylinder 1 ,995cc diesel engine, delivering 177bhp with a max torque of 350Nm. The 525d has been replaced by the more dynamic 530d and 530d Highline with both being powered by a six-cylinder engine, producing 232bhp and 500Nm.

BMW have also introduced their innovative Night Vision system in their 530i and 530d Highline variants. Night vision uses a Far Infrared (FIR) thermal imaging camera to see heat-emitting objects ahead. The camera is located on the lower part of the front bumper, and can detect pedestrians, animals or other heat-emitting objects at distances of up to 300 metres - 150 metres further than the range of the car's headlights. The images that are created by the heat-emitting objects are projected onto the iDrive screen. This system makes night driving safer and should also prove to be a useful tool for wildlife enthusiasts driving in forested areas. Imagine driving around and finding foxes, jackals, etc being detected and displayed on the screen!

An electric sliding sunroof is now standard across the 5 Series range as is the compact auto gear shift lever that is similiar to the one found in the X5. The interior also sports new colours and materials and all models feature 17-inch wheels, except the 530i and 530d Highline, which have 18-inchers. All with run-flat tyres.
