Audi R8 is here! The super sports car which takes its name from the five time Le Mans winner prototype winner will now been seen in India. Benoit Tiers, managing director, Audi India, says, "India is an important market for us and there has been a tremendous interest for the R8. We have even got pre-launch orders placed by some of our customers and so the R8 will be in India.

The mid-engined super car storms in with 424PS at 7,800rpm and 430Nm of torque between 4,500 and 6,000rpm that its 4.2 V8-FSI produces. No surprises then that the car can zip from 0-100kmph in 4.6 seconds and can scorch the roads at a top speed of 301kmph. The R8 comes with a six speed manual transmission or a six speed R tronic, the trademark quattro permanent all-wheel drive, which is behind its superior handling. It features an ail-aluminium Audi space frame body and with racing genes oozing out of every pore, the R8 is easily one of the most stunning looking cars in the world today and we can hardly wait to see it in flesh.
