The Toyota innova holds its ground for the third time in a row as the best MPV in India. True to its name, the Innova is a versatile workhorse, coming in handy for multiple purposes. Launched more than three years ago, the replacement for the Qualis was received very well by families as well as the premium taxi segment. With hardly any worthy competitors, the Innova immediately became the leader of the segment.

The car, inspite of its use in huge numbers by the taxi segment, retains a good premium image in the country. It looks contemporary and the high-end models come with all the bells and whistles one expects after paying almost ten lakh rupees. The Innova is the only MPV in India that has been doing good numbers in the petrol variant too. The z.o-litre engine, the same as the Corolla, performs admirably well for a car of this size. The larger selling z.s-litre diesel engine has been a trustworthy motor all over the world. It does its duty exceptionally well, providing loads of torque lower down the rev zone. It is equally fuel efficient as well. As a large family car, the Innova excels.
