We had talked exclusively about the new Audi A6. Now Audi has released the official pictures and details of the car. The revised lineup should ideally arrive in India. A supercharged 3.0-litre TFSI V6 petrol producing 286bhp and 420Nm and an ultra frugaI2.0-litre turbodiesel with 13Sbhp and 318Nm are the new inclusions. The new turbo petrol replaces both the outgoing 3.2 FSI V6 and the 4.2 V8 petrol units. A 170bhp version of the diesel engine will arrive later in the year. The cars feature new front suspension and the four-wheel drive A6 models will now incorporate the 40/60 split for enhanced rear drive characteristics.

Visually, the new model will be subtly distinguished by its revised front end - the grille, headlamps, bumpers and air intakes are all modified +- while the saloon features an integrated boot lid spoiler. A new rear diffuser and taillights round off the visual upgrades. The car will have tweaked interiors and will boast of enhanced safety.
