BMW is all set to bring in its updated new 3 saloon to India. It s tweaked the existing make it look fresher. The new car should be here in a few months. Though the changes are mostly cosmetic. there are a few mechanical tweaks. The new 3 Series features two additional lines on the bonnet for a more aggressive look. The reprofiled headlights and chin are also meant to give the front of the car a more dynamic appearance. External changes to the 3 saloon have slightly altered the look of the front end. side skirts rear bumper. lights and boot handle. The door mirrors are also bigger now.

At the rear. the boot lid has been re-shaped while the tail light lenses are now monochrome. with LED technology. BMW has also introduced new alloy wheels. On the inside. BMW has simplified the iDrive central controller option. It now has buttons that provide instant access to the radio, CD and phone. With the top-level satellite navigation system you now have in-car Internet access. There's also an 80GB hard drive that allows you to store digital music files. The 325d has been tweaked to improve fuel economy and emissions. In fact. BMW claims the new car is five percent more fuel-efficient than the current model, although power and performance remain the same.

The car's stance has been widened by 24mm to make for even better driving dynamics. The new 3 Series will go on sale in Europe by the end of September and should be in Indian showrooms before the year is out. Although prices for the refreshed model are yet to be announced, indications are that the increase will be nominal.
