BMW 7 series, consisting of the standard version, E65 and expanded version, E66 is the flagship sedan in the BMW line. First introduced in 1977 as E23, the product line has always been a full-size luxury or executive-class option. Later releases include E32 and E38. The current release, E65 and E66, began producing in 2002. Many options, including the range of engines, eleven in Europe and four in the United States. E65 and E66 appoint the vehicle chassis, while the engine type is appointed by a three-digit number beginning with the serial number, in this case seven.
