It may look cramped, but the cleverly designed Smart has room for two people with adequate leg-room, and the small boot can fit a weekly shop for two. Saving the planet is easy, but speed bumps cause the Smart a major problem; the short wheelbase makes it feel as if you're roughly mounting the pavement. Not having to fill up the tank for weeks at a time may make up for this minor discomfort, however.
