Volkswagen has just revealed the Golf R - "the strongest Golf produced". Located above the Golf GTI in Volkswagen’s series at the Frankfurt Motor Show. The new turbocharged Golf R will substitute the present hot hatch Golf R32 when it goes on trade at the end of the year.

Under the hood Volkswagen located a 2.0 Liter engine that brings 270 HP at 6,000 RPM and sends the innovative Golf R from 0 to 60 MPH in just 5.7 seconds thanks in fraction to the car’s all wheel drive system. The time is up from the R32’s 6.5 second 0 to 60 MPH time; while Golf R’s top speed is yet restricted to 155 MPH.
