Named after a famous French racing driver Pierre Veyron, who won the 24 Hours of Le Mans in 1939 in a Bugatti, the Veyron is the fastest car in the world ever. Timed at over 408kph, the Veyron is also one of the most expensive cars ever in production.

Designed and developed by the Volkswagen Group and produced by Bugatti Automobiles at their factory in Chateau St. Jean in France, the Veyron is the work of the engineer Wolfgang Schreiber, with styling by Hartmut Warkuss and Jozef Kaba. The Veyron is also the quickest accelerating and decelerating road car in the world.
