Hewlett-Packard is preparing 4 new laptops Pavilion dv7-4100 for this year-end 2010, some running on AMD platform Danube and other by Intel Calpella. Program include the Quad Core, a dedicated ATI graphics card.

Starter Microsoft Office 2010 installed and includes limited versions of Word and Excel. It is possible to enjoy all the features of the Office suite by purchasing an activation card (or a boxed version) from Microsoft or from the reseller partners. It enjoys a brushed aluminum finish with silver current pattern in the image of many Pavilion dv7-4000.

The dedicated graphics card Mobility Radeon HD5470 is switchable. The HP Pavilion dv7-4100 is also expected in the Danube AMD platform with AMD RS880M chipset instead of Intel HM55.

It looks to 699 euros with an Athlon Dual Core II P340 (2.2 GHz), 4GB DDR3, 500 GB 7200 rpm, a Mobility Radeon HD5470 512MB DDR3 dedicated switch, a fingerprint reader and Bluetooth modules and wireless n. The dedicated graphics card is switched with the graphics Mobility Radeon HD4200 DirectX 10.1 not embedded in the processor but the RS880M chipset.

Like the new Pavilion dv6-3100, the HP Pavilion dv7-4100 has few changes compared to their predecessors Pavilion dv7-4000. No change seems intended side connector and the resolution of the slab remains frozen in 1600 × 900 regardless of the variations. In addition, any model equipped with a Blu-Ray unit is announced.
