HP is updating its line of Mini 210 Netbooks 10.1 inches with a new model to less than 300 euros Intel platform running Pine Trail with Dual Core Atom processor N550 and a fast hard drive that offers a self-announced 10.30am, HP Mini 210-2290sf.
This netbook sports a relatively simple and elegant appearance with its black hull surfaces and matte silver. In addition, the keyboard is 93% the size of a standard keyboard for comfortable typing.
This is a Netbook that operates under the Starter edition of Windows 7 and is therefore limited to an amount of RAM and 1 GB of storage space of 250 GB, the latter being generally sufficient in the context of a common use.
Moreover, like all its competitors, this model is intended to use basic office type and surf the Internet. If it is a bit slower than exceeded Netbooks equipped with an Atom Single Core (ex: Atom N455) the processor remains an Atom and more specifically a dual core Atom N550.Thus, it will prove quickly limited multitasking. Nevertheless, it is for example possible to surf the Net and listen to music simultaneously, for example.
Its fast hard drive that operates at 7200 rpm instead of 5400 rpm usually contributes to making the system a little more responsive which is always better than nothing. The connection is in contrast with more traditional Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, VGA and 3 USB ports.
