Get into the bios and disable the option of seta hard disk.

Take off the battery (a button is on the board) and put back in a few minutes. with the laptop off completely, so the bios is reset.

I have a problem with my laptop it updates the bios but now does nothing if I can help you model is HP pavilion 1120us, or if I can help you find a new card for this laptop.
