HP Mini 1000 remains, in some ways, the top of Notebook development, with its whisper-thin design as well as large edge-to-edge keyboard. Verizon is now present a 3G-enabled edition of this system, called the Mini 1151NR, as part of a package that will seem familiar to cell phone buyers; the notebook price is subsidized, at $199, provided that you agree to a two-year contract for data services from Verizon, which at present runs between $39 and $59 per month.

Although a comparably equipped HP Mini 1000 would price $439 exclusive of the 3G receiver, otherwise $569 with, companies such as Dell are present largely similar Notebooks for as little as $299, making the subsidized price less appealing after you factor in approximately $1,400 in data fees.
