Logitech makes a lot of gaming peripherals like speakers, gaming mice and keyboards. This one is for PC gamers who want to ditch the standard keyboard-mouse configuration. This gamepad may strike you as being very similar to the Sony PlayStation 2 wired controller, and not without reason. Two cliches come to mind: "Why mess with something that isn't broken" and "Imitation is the sincerest form of flattery". The PS2 controller was always good; lightweight, durable and ergonomic, and Logitech obviously knows that!

The matte finish of the controller feels nice to hold and it includes some anti-slip rubber coating on the grips, which will come in handy during those long gaming sessions. In place of the PlayStation symbol buttons (X, 0,), the buttons are marked 1,2,3 and 4. The bumper and shoulder buttons are marked 5 through 8. You can map different functions to the buttons when used with a PC and you can also use it with game emulators. It'll work with a MAC too and gets recognized as a standard input device.

But here's the real trump card; it even works as a wired controller for the Sony PlayStation 3. Of course, the PS button is missing, it does not feature rumble feedback and it is wired, but it costs Rs 1 500 less than the standard PS3 DualShock. You could use it as a cheaper second controller for a PS3. But it's more likely that this is probably meant for the PC gamer who's got a game console hangover.
