    Default Dell Inspiron 15R

After its Latitude E5420 and E5520 and Latitude E6420 and E6520 for professionals, Dell updates its Inspiron 15R Intel platform in France as Huron River with Sandy Bridge processor. Format 15.6 inches, it appears from 529 euros with various options including a dedicated graphics card AMD HD6470M and comes standard with two USB 3.0 ports and an HDMI 1.4.

Dell also mentioned the presence of the Dell Software Workshop on multimedia to share photos, listen to music, play and stay in touch, just like the Intel Wireless Display to read the content on the portable TV while both devices are remote and this via a wireless connection and a box connected to TV.

And that's the biggest regret that we can make against the Dell Inspiron 15R. Dell announces such a combo Blu-ray/DVD for its new Inspiron 15R but the option is currently unavailable as that of the interchangeable cover. It would also be appreciated that the options screens and more powerful graphics card to be present.

The new Dell Inspiron 15R benefits and Sandy Bridge processor Core 2310M-i3 or i5-2410M which was coupled to 3 GB or 4 GB of RAM ensures good performance in multitasking and current use (office, web surfing).

The graphics Intel GMA 3000 HD integrated processor is able to read properly and HD video games occasionally run resource-efficient 3D. For more punch side graphics, we prefer to opt for the Radeon card HD6470M dedicated chiefly to be able to play a greater number of titles. However, it is an entry-level model and so do not expect miracles in this area.

I've even looked around a bit and I found a review / test that says that the display and the features are very good. But as the machine is not particularly powerful, its power consumption is only 60 watts maximum load, against 16.5 watts at rest.
