All metal notebook sets a 14-inchdisplay in a 13.3-inch body and is bound with the most recenttechnology including a rear lit keyboard. We need a closer seem atthis attractive option to the Apple Mac Book Pro.
The design and completely standard ofthe XPS 14z were of overriding prominent to the designers. As theXPS 14 z’s bigger sibling the 15z, the appears are evocative of anApple Mac Book Pro. The body bottom is mostly one piece of milledaluminum which adds strength; this notebook appears solid as a rock. The palm rest does not bend also under heavy force.
I was able to acquire ripples to showon the display by pressing in on the rear of the lid despite thealuminum rearing; this is a may be casualty of the lid being so thin. The hinge retaining the lid to the body is strong and doesn’t allowthe lid to wobble too. I wish the plastic hinge packing was 1 piecebut not 3, still this is the just part of the notebook that doesn’tsynchronize with the remaining of the plan.

The XPS 14 z was not planned with userupgrade capability in mind; there are user-inaccessible panels on thebody bottom. This is dissatisfying and a negative slope effect ofusing a one-piece aluminum chassis piece.
The XPS 14 z covers an satisfactoryarray of I/O ports admitting mini-Display Port, HDMI, USB 3.0, and aslot-load DVD burner. I would favor to see a standard size DisplayPort instead of the mini version which needs an adapter. There arejust 2 USB ports on the whole notebook and only one of those is USB3.0. I do however as how most of the ports are located on the rear ofthe notebook; also often notebook designers cluster them on theslopes and impede using an outside mouse.
