Dell Studio line of laptops is an attractive mid-point between the Inspiron line of affordable and high-end, XPS line, which includes some tips from design XPS systems (such as their tapered bodies) with a core set of components that will not break the bank. We were very fond of the previous incarnation of the only retail configuration, called S1535-125B. knocking back bit CPU with a 2.1GHz Intel Core 2 Duo T8100 2.0GHz with the Core 2 Duo T5800. The difference in the real world performance is insignificant, it may be worth looking. One difference to keep in mind - the new S1535-143B is larger battery, which adds about 80 minutes of battery, but has a huge positive, adding bulk and weight in the system.
Construction of the retail only fixed-configuration laptop is identical to the two previous S1535-123B version, as well as a customizable direct-Dell Studio 15, (although this version is dark midnight blue lid). Although clearly inspired by the popular XPS M1530, Studio 15 more angular look, with its high curving side of the screen hinge down to a sharp angle; XPS presents a more rounded look. The Studio 15 should Dell recently, and welcome trend equip almost all of its laptops with HDMI outputs and touch-sensitive control buttons - you can also get these, even the cheapest Inspiron 15-inch model. Like most notebooks Dell, keyboard keys slightly tapered, you less space than use flat keys, but we found it convenient and easy to use, if a bit clacky.Unlike customizable direct from-Dell Studio 15, we look at it less expensive version of 1200x800 pixels native resolution, rather than 1440x900 pixels resolution, typically found in higher end 15-inch notebooks, and we miss more screen real estate with higher resolution allows.
