The reason I asked about this is because I have to replace my Dell laptop with an LED and wanted to know how much better that is the screen to replace my LG last week.

I recently took my LG M1530 WSXGA + at a local store to compare with the LED screen. LEDs are brighter than the LG, but the higher resolution is more important to me.

There is another model for the LCD screen WXGA + (1440x900) with the hardware ID LPLDF00 with part number KR515. It is an excellent screen without grain (now this one). Is shown as "... LGP, V2" in the service tag and it is perhaps an updated version of an XP059. Cheers.
