Digital photo frames are fast becoming a style statement accessory for homes, hotels and offices. The Genius PF-AOI is one that fits this bracket with its large TFT display and crisp and clear image output. Hang it on the wall or just keep it on your desk in portrait or landscape orientation and this oakwood-textured (also available in walnut) frame just blends perfectly in with your home or office.

FEATURES: The Genius PF-AOI comes with a 128 MB of built-in memory on which you can store up to 700 resized photos. Additionally, you can plug in a USB flash drive or use a memory card to view photos directly without having to transfer them to the onboard memory. Options available to view and edit your photos include a slide show, rotation, thumbnail view and page-wise scrolling . You can also set it to display the time and date while a slideshow is running . You can play MP3 files (via the built in mini speaker or via an external amplifier using the audio out jack) continuously in the background to turn your slideshow into a more complete experience. The frame is robust and weighs around 1.4

kgs, but it lacks a protective glass for the TFT screen. A bundled metal stand can
be used when it is placed on the desktop, while the bundled remote can be safely docked behind the screen. Flipping images is a little painful as you have to use the remote to do all the work for you. There are absolutely no controls available on
the frame, so if you lose or damage the remote, you cannot control the digital frame. If the photo's resolution and size is too big, it will take more time to load on the screen. You can use the simple drag and drop feature to transfer images to the frame as it shows up as a removable drive in 'My Computer' when plugged in. You can increase the brightness level, set timings for the slide show, start a multi show (show 2/3/4 photos on one screen), and also set an auto on/off timer.

VERDICT: Easy-to-use digital photo frame. FOR: Good display, plug and play.
AGAINST: No onboard control panel.
