Canon PowershotA3300IS is an inexpensive 16 megapixels compact with 5-fold zoom and image stabilization. A3300IS is the successor to current models Al200 and A2200 and adds optical image stabilization and the five-fold zoom to the mix. The build quality and finish has also been upgraded, 3300IS does not feel plasticky I ike the earlier A series models. With a dimension of 9.5 x 5.7 x 204cm, and weighing approx. 149 grammes, the camera easily fits into most pockets. The 3in display with a resolution of320 x 240 pixels (230,000 sub-pixels) is typical for this price range.



TheA3300 IS is clearly aimed at the point and shoot photographer. Most settings in Program mode offer auto settings, e.g. white balance, ISO sensitivity and exposure. Additionally, a live image control mode enables adjustment of brightness, saturation and hue with virtual sliders on the screen live. There are a variety of visual effects on offer, including fish-eye, miniature, toy camera, monochrome, color enhancement and poster. TheA3300 IS takes 3.6 seconds between two consecutive shots.
