Hitachi's new Blu-roy comcorders, launched last month, may be dripping with early adopter allure, but I'm not sure they represent a wise investment with the format war still raging. So my camcorder attentions have been focused on a different hi-def proposition - Samsung's VP-HMX10A. This compact 720p number has been sledging Sanyo's Xacti HD2, claiming to be smailer and sexier than the holder of the 'world's smallest 720p camcorder' title. It certainly has a lovely glossy finish and scores extra points for praviding 4GB of flash storage to go alongside its SD card slot. But will
this be enough to floor our favourite mini camcorder.
