The Canon 7D is the digital SLR that many Canon fans have been awaiting for, on a list of long-absent characteristics that the lineup has required to take on cameras as the Nikon D300. Not shying away from the megapixel race, the novel Canon 7D has a brand novel 18-megapixel APS-C sensor on a 1.6x crop factor. Each pixel is 4.3 microns in size, although Canon tells that with their gap less micro lenses, the novel sensor gathers plenty of light.


The Canon 7D is planned for speed, with dual DIGIC 4 chips to speed processing of these large 14-bit files, even hold up with the shutter's 8-frame-per-second overstep speed. The Canon 7D also sports an HD movie mode that will capture full HD at 30p.The built-in flash has a broader scope to manage till the 15mm broad-angle lenses, as the novel EF-S 15-85mm f/3.5-5.6 IS USM, and the flash can even serve as the remote commander for up to 3 groups of flashes, another first for Canon.


Other novel features have an electronic level, a RAW button, and a novel Multi - function button for immediate, programmable access to several functions. What is uncluttered is that the Canon EOS 7D is filled with characteristics, many of which appear as the fulfillment of an enthusiast checklist.
