Canon A470 is trying to give a much needed injection of style, offering a choice of four colors: gray, blue, red and orange. Unfortunately, colorful accents can not hide cameras stocky, unattractive design. It feels like a king-size candy bar, measuring about 4 inches long, 2 inches thick or more inches, and half of the world. At 7.6 ounces with SD-card and two AA batteries but weighs in as one of the heftiest budget cameras available. The lens and LCD screen so issued a pointless from the body, giving it bumpy, uneven feel. Compared with the huge selection of budget point and shoots on the market measuring just inches thick or less, A470 is absolutely huge. On the bright side, a large body of the camera makes it easier grip and hold, and its design leaves ample room for large, simple controls that even bigger thumbs can comfortably manipulate.A barebones feature set accompanies the A470 in barebones price. Chambers 38-to-132mm-equivalent, f/3.0-5.8 lens offers a little more than usual, accomplishments, but also provides a narrower field of view than most snapshot camera equivalent of 35 mm or larger lenses. 2.5-inch, 115,000 pixel screen is the only way to develop your shot, and it can be difficult to use on sunny days. You will not find more control over the A470, but adjustable ISO, exposure controls and manual white balance settings offer some flexibility when shooting.
