The Nice Nikon D90 Digital Camera, The first half of the year has seen a flurry of new entry¬level SLRs and now it seems ail the R&D guys have decided it's the turn of the mid'range to get some love and attention.
1. Continuous shooting If you're into action photography, you'll appreciate a comera that can fire off shots like a machine gyn. Average is 3fps, and 6fps and above is ideal.
2. Live View Useful mostly for close-ups, this lets you frame the subject on the LCD screen, like you would on a compact. Usually only works with manual focus.
3. Image stabilisation Anti-shake technology is built into more expensive lenses, but if you're buying a load.of extra lenses you'll save money if there's an image stabiliser built into your camera body.
4. Kit lens Most SLRs can be bought with a standard lens, which is usually around 18-SSmm (or 1 L,-L,2mm on an Olympus or Panasonic). That's OK for starters, but you'll want more length for sports and action.
