In terms of specifications, the PowerShot A560 closely resembles its predecessor - A550, the A560 features a larger LCD, a higher ISO and a few other details. This 7.1-megapixel, weighs 165 grams, the 1.7in-thickA560 is not a camera that will slide easily into your pocket. But that is only a minor hitch in what is otherwise a superb machine that comes with, among other features, a 4X optical zoom, superior to that of any other in this test. It also includes a unique Face Detection feature, which worked just fine at our test.

The photos taken by this camera look impressive, marked by crisp, vivid colours. There was simply nothing to complain about except a slight yellow tinge that we noticed in some photos shot indoors. At a price tag of Rs.14,995, the PowerShot A560 is one of the best cameras in the under- Rs.15,000 category. The camera comes bundled with all the necessary cables, software CD and a manual. This camera received maximum votes by readers and hence gains the Readers' Choice award for the year 2007.
