Canon PowerS hot A480, point-and-shoot camera has been designed for those who are not very comfortable with camera functions, yet have a keen interest in photography. The A480 has a plastic body, but with a stylish look.

The camera features a 10 megapixcel CCD sensor,' along with a 2.5in LCD screen and 3.3x optical zoom lens. However, we feel that the build quality could have been improved. The power and shutter buttons are on the top. The D-Pad, mode, menu, play and zoom buttons are on the back panel. The camera has two AA batteries instead of Lithium. According to the company you need to replace the batteries after every 200 shots.

The PowerShotA480 being a very basic camera doesn't sport too many shooting options. You can play around with the White Balance, colour effects, auto focus, etc, but it's advisable to leave them in the auto mode or choose from the 12 scene modes such as Fireworks, Slow Shutter, Night Snapshot, or Kids & Pets. It also features Face and Motion Detection.
