JVC has recently launched their innovative flagship design of the ProHD camcorder variety, the GY-HM790. This JVC device decorates a modular design alongside a full set off of accessories. It appears with support for multicore or fiber-based production and also acts as a shoulder-mount camcorder.

The elective ASI output element presents a straight feed from the camera to a satellite uplink or microwave transmitter via BNC. It has features like in 4.3-inch LCD screen, 1.2 megapixel LCOS viewfinder and two XLR inputs with phantom power for uncompressed LPCM audio recording. The GY-HM790 offers an uncompressed 4:2:2 full HD signal for live monitoring while an elective SxS media recorder module has also been contained.

The new GY-HM790 also has characteristics like in studio aptitudes with enhanced picture quality and cleaner studio integration. The redesigned studio adapter sled includes a modular approach to multicore or fiber connectivity, allowing cleaner interface. Some other features for studio or multi-camera employ are integral time code in/out and genlock. Moreover, JVC presents a full complement of accessories- remote camera control unit, remote shader panel, 8.4-inch studio viewfinder and multi-input special effects generators.
